Close Up Erme - Fine Art Print
Whenever I photograph things, I like to explore both wider views and closer details.
This image is a study of a small cascade of the River Erme which lies halfway up through Longtimber woods viewed from the western side of the river.
There is an optimum flow to the river which will produce the perfect tones to moving blurred river water when long shutter speeds are used. Too much water and it will all look white, too little water and it will look too messy. Luckily on this visit, the flow rate was perfect and it was the first week in November so fresh colourful autumn leaves had fallen on the rocks to provide lovely warm toned shapes amongst the cool greens and light blues of the foliage and river.
