Alex is a full-time landscape photographer based in Bristol with a passion for mountains and wilderness areas. He increasingly heads to remote or hard to reach locations in search of new images. His photography is largely illustrative, showing magical lighting conditions and spectacular scenery.
He writes for UK outdoor and photography magazines both in print and online. His images have been published in a variety of different media and he has run a number of successful exhibitions. He delivers talks to camera clubs and trade shows, recently speaking at the Natural History Museum and The Outdoors Show in London. he also leads regular workshops in the UK mountains and abroad. These tours are highly reflective of his own approach to photography and generally have an adventurous slant.
As well as still photography he also shoots time-lapse films with his business partner Guy Richardson. They have been fortunate to work with some of the UK's biggest organisations including Visit Britain and the Woodland Trust.
